the lovely Ann Powers of NPR picks Holcombe Waller as one of her top 3 SXSW snugglers
so fancy…my sweet ward Holcombe Waller gets a well deserved sxsw pick from NPR’s fab new music critic Ann Powers. oh Yoko, you inspired this. thank you.
A second serving of Bed-In magic from the honey voiced Jenny O. She wooed us all with her spiky sweet folk and hilarious bedside manner. Shot in Room 704 at the Driskill Hotel, during SXSW 2011. So totally crushed out now.
My dear friend (and management client) Holcombe Waller performing his haunting song “Into the Dark Unknown” on the foot of our bed for a handful of tiny concert goers during SXSW. It was nice to have a little quiet above the chaos. The view out the window was of the tops of tall old buildings, which oddly, is something you never notice when you are on the ground and in the fray of the festival. All 3 artists that played our room used them as muses to their performance. As I so often do in my photography. So lovely. Shot on location in Room 704, Friday March 18, 2011 by yours truly.
A second dose of SXSW Bed-in magic with my new current crush - Alessi’s Ark…swoon… shot by me at the foot of the bed in the Driskill Hotel room 704 the day before John and Yoko’s anniversary. swoon.
A sweet bit of “The Robot” by my new favorite British dumpling Alessi’s Ark. Part of our SXSW Bed-In this past weekend. Shot by me at the foot of the bed of Room 704 at the Driskill. So sublime.
Another SXSW Bed-In sesh with Jenny O. performing “Please don’t take this to your heart” on our queen sized bed in Room 704 at the Driskill Hotel on Friday March 18, 2011. woot.
Just posted a pile of sweet little video clips I shot of our SXSW Bed-In showcases this past weekend in Room 704 at the Driskill Hotel. Such a great way to forget about the chaos. Follow the link and watch more by Jenny O. and Alessi’s Ark. Or maybe I’ll post ‘em! Swoon.

New York Times writes up our SXSW Bed-In Showcase!
On Friday March 18 myself and Miss Laurel Stearns of Prospect Park Management hosted an intimate duo of bed-in showcases in our room at the Driskill hotel. We paired our clients Holcombe Waller and Jenny O. for the bill. Friday’s show went so well, and we had so many bagels left, we decided to host an encore performance on Saturday with the addition of ethereal Bella Union artist Alessi’s Ark. This time the NY Times and Ann Powers from NPR showed up! Yay!
